Privacy Policy

L1fe.news is built around receipts and transparency. That includes how we handle reader, subscriber, developer, and account data.

1

Who we are

2

Information we collect

  • Account and contact information. Email address, display name, sign-in identifiers, subscription status, support messages, and preferences you provide.
  • Subscription and billing information. Plan choice, checkout status, billing account identifiers, invoices, usage meters, and payment processor references. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Product usage. Pages viewed, searches, Dispatch questions, API requests, MCP tool calls, saved topics, device/browser metadata, approximate location from IP address, and diagnostic logs.
  • News corpus data. Public article metadata, publisher URLs, source receipts, story clusters, public claims, and generated editorial assets connected to public stories.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Session cookies, security cookies, preference cookies, and analytics signals used to run and improve the service.

3

How we use information

  • Operate the service. Authenticate accounts, deliver pages, run subscriptions, meter API usage, preserve source receipts, and keep the public corpus available.
  • Improve L1fe.news. Measure reliability, diagnose errors, understand which workflows need improvement, and protect against abuse.
  • Personalize account features. Save topics, reading preferences, alerts, billing state, and account settings when you choose to use those features.
  • Communicate with you. Send account, security, billing, support, and product messages. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe mechanism where required.
  • Comply with law. Respond to valid legal process, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, and maintain records required for accounting, security, or compliance.

4

How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only in limited cases:

  • Service providers. Infrastructure, database hosting, account services, billing, support, analytics, security, and communications vendors that process data for us.
  • Public story records. News source metadata, story pages, source receipts, and public corpus entries are public by design. Do not submit private information into public story workflows.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or needed to protect users, the service, L1fe Labs, or others.
  • Business transfers. If L1fe.news is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, data may transfer subject to this policy or a successor policy.

5

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information, and to opt out of some processing. California residents may also have rights to know categories of personal information collected, disclosed, or shared, and to limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable. 6

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, billing, security, legal compliance, and service improvement. Public news corpus records and source receipts may be retained longer because they support public archive integrity, SEO, attribution, and auditability.
