The full panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned a decision that would have permitted the Trump administration to require states to set aside challenged ballots.
Circuit Court of Appeals voted late Monday to rehear the Trump administration’s appeal of a lower court order that blocked it from threatening election workers with criminal prosecution if they do not set aside ballots suspected to have been cast by noncitizens. Hours after the Ninth Circuit lifted restrictions on the Trump administration's efforts to force states to set aside ballots it alleges are from noncitizens, the full panel vacated the ruling.
The Hill reported the story as "Full appeals court to rehear case on Trump administration election worker threats." Revolver News reported the story as "Federal court overturns decision in favor of Trump admin's suspected noncitizens' ballots row...."
